THE MOST
ADVENTUROUS TOUR

Ready to Shoot Stunning Aurora Photos Yourself?

This tour is designed specifically for passionate photographers and Aurora chasers who travel with a purpose: to find the best light, in the best locations—without the distractions of large groups or touristy spots. For those seeking truly unique compositions, and if conditions allow, your guide may lead you on a short, easy walk to reach more secluded and breathtaking locations—far from the usual spots. While not guaranteed on every tour, these mini-adventures often reward us with unforgettable views. Please note that the terrain can be snowy or uneven, so a reasonable level of fitness and sturdy footwear are recommended.

Led by expert Northern Lights guides and photography enthusiasts, this private experience takes you deep into the Arctic wilderness in search of the perfect composition and the perfect aurora display. Our priority is always to find the Northern Lights, and that often means driving far beyond Tromsø—sometimes all the way from the Norwegian coast to the snowy tundra of Finland. The route changes nightly based on live weather forecasts and space weather data. Our guides know hundreds of remote spots and will choose the most promising one just for you.

Once we find clear skies, the next goal is to find the right frame—a mountain pass, a frozen lake, a fjord, or a windswept plain. Our team will help you set up your gear, refine your composition, and make the most of your camera’s capabilities. This tour is ideal for those bringing professional or advanced DSLR/mirrorless cameras who are looking for more than just a casual photo stop.

While we can chase the lights, we cannot guarantee them—they are a natural phenomenon powered by solar wind, not a man-made show. But we promise you an unforgettable Arctic adventure regardless of the aurora’s strength. If the Northern Lights are weak or don’t appear, we still focus on making the night meaningful—with photography guidance, night landscape shooting, storytelling, and education about the science behind the aurora.

Unlike our group tours, this private experience is focused on flexibility and reaching remote, scenic locations—rather than setting up a fixed base with a campfire. While a fire may be possible during longer waits for the aurora, it’s not a priority, as we prefer to travel light and explore areas where fires often aren’t permitted or practical.

Our goal is to show you as many beautiful spots as conditions allow. If you have a specific photo composition or location in mind, simply share it with your guide—we’ll gladly adapt the route if the weather and terrain permit. And don’t worry—you’ll still be treated to a warm Arctic soup and a hot drink to keep you comfortable along the way.

We will drop you off to your hotel or apartment, However this is not the end yet! The next days wait for our e-mail with photos and you can share your unforgettable moments with family and friends.
