Are you dreaming of seeing the Aurora Borealis in Tromsø? With The Green Adventure’s exclusive Aurora Chase Private Tour, your dream can become an unforgettable, personal experience – far from the crowds and close to nature.

This is not your average northern lights tour. It’s a fully private, carefully tailored adventure designed for those who want to experience the Arctic skies in peace and comfort. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply wish to share a magical evening with your loved ones, this Aurora Borealis tour in Tromsø is made for memories.

A Northern Lights Tour Made Just for You

From the moment we pick you up – at your hotel, apartment, or even the airport – our focus is on providing a relaxed and flexible experience. We also offer late-evening pick-ups for guests arriving on late flights, making it easier to fit the tour into your travel plans. With a maximum of 8 guests, you’ll travel in a comfortable 4x4 vehicle with one of our experienced guides, who knows where the skies open up and the auroras tend to dance.

Before we begin the chase, we’ll brief you on the evening’s weather conditions and the likelihood of catching the lights. We also stay in touch with a network of trusted guides across Tromsø to help us maximize the chances of a successful sighting.

And when Aurora appears? We’ll be ready.

Please note that this is an on-request tour. To book, simply send us an email with your preferred date, and we’ll open our calendar just for you.

Comfort in the Cold – Arctic Gear & Warm Food

Even in -30°C, you’ll stay warm in our high-quality thermal suits. We also provide tripods if you’d like to bring your own camera – though our guide will capture stunning professional photos of you and the lights throughout the night, which you’ll receive the following day by email – completely free of charge.

We provide digital photos in 2048px resolution with a small watermark, but if you'd like a full-frame, print-ready version without the watermark, it's available for a small additional fee – a simple way to support our photographer's work.

Once we reach the ideal viewing spot, we’ll set up a cozy Arctic camp. Expect:

  • Local hot soup (vegan options available)

  • Organic tea or hot chocolate

  • A warm bonfire and toasted marshmallows

  • Personal stories and legends about the northern lights

  • Optional photo session under the aurora sky

We believe that an Aurora Borealis tour in Tromsø should be about more than just ticking off a bucket list. It should be about slowing down, being present, and sharing a truly unique moment with people you care about.

Flexible and Family-Friendly

Whether you’re traveling with young children, pregnant, or need a more relaxed pace, we adjust the tour to your needs. You’ll never feel rushed, and we’ll always do our best to make the evening as smooth and enjoyable as possible.

Why Choose The Green Adventure?

At The Green Adventure, we’re a small, family-run company with a big heart. We’ve travelled the world, learned what matters on a tour – and what doesn’t – and we’ve created experiences we’d want to be part of ourselves.

We don’t run commercial mass tours. We offer soul-filled adventures with a personal touch. We believe that the Aurora Borealis deserves a quiet stage, not a crowded arena. And we believe that guests deserve authenticity, warmth, and care.

As part of our philosophy, we also do our best to protect the environment. Every site we visit is left exactly as we found it – because nature gives us this gift, and we want to give something back.

So if you're looking for a truly meaningful Aurora Borealis tour in Tromsø, one that combines comfort, storytelling, flexibility and the magic of the northern lights – then this is the adventure for you.

We can’t wait to welcome you to the Arctic.
