Our journey begins in the heart of Tromsø. We meet outside Scandic Ishavshotel, where your guide will greet you and the rest of the group (maximum 15 participants). From there, we head out of the city and into the wild, far from light pollution and tourist buses.

Before we hit the road, you’ll get a short briefing on the weather, visibility, and our selected locations for the evening. We stay in contact with other trusted guides in the region – which helps us find the best chance of clear skies, even if that means crossing into Finland. Don't forget to bring your passport in case we cross the border!

When we spot a promising break in the clouds, we stop and make camp – and that’s when the magic begins.

Campfire Moments, Warm Soup & Arctic Gear

This is not just a northern lights tour – it’s an Arctic evening you’ll remember. We build a cozy bonfire, serve warm local soup (vegan-friendly), and offer hot chocolate or organic tea to keep you toasty from the inside out.

You’ll be outfitted with professional-grade thermal suits to keep warm – even in temperatures as low as -30°C. Tripods and headlamps are available, and if you’re bringing your own camera, we’ll happily share photography tips to help you capture Aurora like a pro.

But you can also relax and enjoy the view with your eyes – we’ll take professional photos of both you and the northern lights. These are included in the tour and delivered to your inbox the following day.
